BandPitch offers artists access to music industry professionals

BandPitch

A new online platform, BandPitch, promises to connect artists and bands with music industry professionals to help them build their live performance opportunities.

Developed by VIP-Booking.com, a Danish company which has become a leader in the European music scene, BandPitch works a bit like a dating site, allowing artists to create a profile, and then seeing if they match with agents, managers, and venue bookers at no charge.

Once matched, an artist can create a specific pitch to those industry folks for a fee, ranging from around $5.00 for an individual pitch, to a lower fee based on subscription levels. Once your pitch is sent, you will be able to see when it is opened, along with other online metrics.

BandPitch also has tools which they say can help you improve and develop your pitches, right on the site.

It is essentially the opposite system as VIP-Booking, which lists artists looking for work, which agents, managers, and promoters can search to find bands to perform at their venue or festival.

Like many such web platforms, the main site doesn’t detail a lot of information until you create a profile, but there is no charge to do so, or to upload your information and music. The only fees come in once you match and are interested in pitching yourself to these matches.

They claim to be completely neutral on genre, so there’s no obvious reason why it would work for bluegrass and acoustic artists.

You can visit BandPitch online.
