MandoZine Radio live online

Event Details

John Baxter is the host of a new, mandocentric, 24/7 internet radio station called MandoZine Radio, hosted on the live365.com network. The blend of styles is meant to be widely varied, unified by the focus on music that prominently features the mandolin. Bluegrass will be a part of the mix, as will newgrass, jazz, swing, Brazilian, classical and gypsy jazz.

Baxter has been publishing MandoZine Magazine online since 1996, and is enthusiastic about the possibilities of his new cybercasting efforts.

“There are some great internet radio stations, but none that put an emphasis solely on the mandolin. The mandolin is not only a Bluegrass instrument, it is used world-wide in classical, jazz, celtic, Brazilian, and many other forms of music. Mandozine Radio is the first internet radio station to cater exclusively to the interests of mandolin enthusiasts.”

live365.com hosts thousands of internet radio stations, most run and hosted by individuals working on their own computer. All stations adhere to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and are licensed by ASCAP, BMI and SESAC. Their site lists 57 stations that play bluegrass music.
