Jacob Underwood

Young Jacob Underwood, banjo picker for Illinois’ Bluegrass Express, has released a video overview of his new solo project, The Banjo Files.

The album features Jacob’s crisp traditional-style banjo on ten tracks mixing a few of his original tunes with some 5-string classics. Assisting are Matt Wallace and Greg Underwood on bass, Steve Thomas, Ron Stewart, and Tim Crouch on fiddle, Sierra Hull on mandolin,  Justin Moses on dobro, and Emily Hall on guitar, with Jacob playing mandolin and guitar as well as banjo.

  • November Wind
  • When The Saints Go Marching In
  • Banjoology
  • What A Friend We Have In Jesus

The video runs through the tracks offering a nice taste of the music contained on the CD.

 

The single, B5, is available for download by radio programmers at Airplay Direct. The Banjo Files can be purchased from Jacob’s web site.
