Rounder Records has created a lyric video for one of the songs on The Muscle Shoals Recording, their upcoming album from The Steeldrivers.
It’s a song written by fiddler and vocalist Tammy Rogers, and sung by guitarist Gary Nichols, reflecting on the somber fact of death on a massive scale during the US Civil War. The lyrics are superimposed against images of the landscape of the Stones River battlefield.
The Muscle Shoals Recording is set for a June 16 release. Pre-orders for autographed copies can be placed now on The Steeldrivers’ web site.
