Bluegrass Crosswords – Happy Birthday, Hazel Dickens!

Event Details

Bluegrass Today Crosswords

Monday, June 1 would have been Hazel Dickens’ 101st birthday, so here’s a puzzle to celebrate her, and all the women who came before and after her in bluegrass music. I was fortunate to have the chance to meet Hazel, and I thanked her not just for all her great music, but also for working so hard to build a staircase so that the rest of us could just climb right up like it was nothing.

Speaking of getting a little help, if you need some with this puzzle you can use the “Assist” menu (or the light bulb icon, if you’re on a mobile device), any time you see the words [HINT AVAILABLE] after the clue.

Be sure to visit Bluegrass Today every Saturday morning for a brand new bluegrass puzzle!
