Bluegrass Crosswords – Dolly Parton: 14-down from Dover

Event Details

Bluegrass Today Crosswords

I didn’t expect to be doing another memorial puzzle so soon, but then I also didn’t expect to ever live in a world without Dolly Parton in it. Her voice was unequaled, her generous heart was even bigger than her hairdos, and she seemed to be put on earth to bring joy to us all. She also loved to laugh, and I think she wouldn’t mind the irreverent title of this puzzle.

The world knows Dolly as a country superstar, but we know her as part of the bluegrass family. This puzzle is full of bluegrass songs with Dolly connections, and if you are not familiar with some (as I was not), I urge you to spend this week seeking them out. We will miss her terribly, but we can be with her any time through the amazing gift of her music.

Remember, you can use the “Assist” menu (or the light bulb icon, if you’re on a mobile device) if you need a little help with the clues.

Have fun, and be sure to visit Bluegrass Today every Saturday morning for a brand new bluegrass puzzle.
