Kentucky’s Laurel River Line is set to release their second CD, On Down The Line, later this month and have a debut single to share in advance. Randy Jones, mandolinist with Lonesome River Band, produced the project which contains 13 tracks.
Laurel River line consists of Matt Kirby on guitar, Matt Scarbrough on mandolin, Brian Davidson on bass and Malachi Smith on banjo. All four sing.
The single is Freight Train, written by Kirby and Smith, with Kirby singing lead. Here’s a taste.
Look for On Down The Line on August 16. The band has scheduled a CD release party that night in London, KY at the Laurel-London Optimist Club, which will also be broadcast online via the Patriotic Radio Network. There is no charge to attend the 7:00 p.m. event.
