The Newell Lodge Bluegrass Festival runs from March 6 – 8 at Newell Lodge in Folkston, GA, a beautiful setting for a festival. Early arrivals are enjoying the lovely weather, and were treated to jams both Monday and Tueday evening.
Monday was warm and the jam was held in the beautiful gazebo at Newell. Tuesday turned a little chilly, so the jam moved indoors in the Lodge restaurant.
Thursday will feature Trinity River and Big Cypress Bluegrass along with an open mic session. Friday will feature Volume Five and Fontanna Sunset. Saturday will bring Volume Five and Fontanna Sunset back, along with Ralph Stanley II.
