The Darell Webb Band is back with a new album, a new look, and a brand new single available today to bluegrass radio. What isn’t new is the sound: hard-driving, high-energy bluegrass with an edge.
There are new faces in the group this time around. Darrell remains on mandolin and lead vocals, with Collins Miller on banjo, Jared Hensley on guitar, Tyler Collins on reso-guitar, and Jacob Shelton on bass.
The new album, Lover’s Leap, is due from Mountain Fever Records on February 10, 2017, with its first single offered to radio at Airplay Direct, and to consumers via popular download sites. It’s a grassified remake of George Strait’s 1981 hit, If You’re Thinking You Want A Stranger, written by Blake Mevis and David Wills. Darrell and the boys speed it up a bit and apply their trademark aggressive bluegrass style.
