Texas banjo man Mark Krider has introduced the latest edition of his bluegrass band, Hillbilly Fever. He’s kept the group going since 2018, and has been playing and entertaining bluegrass lovers for more than 50 years.
On guitar, Mark has Justin Smith, a solid rhythm player and strong vocalist who has been a part of several bluegrass outfits in Texas and Oklahoma.
Daniel David is on mandolin, bringing his powerful, Monroe-style of traditional bluegrass to the band. Now living in Arkansas, he had performed regularly in groups along Colorado’s front range.
Playing the resophonic guitar is Adam Bachman with his decade of experience playing bluegrass professionally. Originally from South Carolina, Adam now lives in Asheville, NC.
Anchoring the rhythm section is Anne Luna on bass, a graduate of the South Plains College Commercial Music program, where she studied bluegrass with Alan Munde and Joe Carr. She had previously been a part of the Hard Road Trio.
Bluegrass fans in the middle south and beyond should keep an eye out for this bunch and see them if you can.
