Lyric video for Bells Of Home

Bells Of Home - Circa BlueCirca Blue has produced a lyric video for the title track and first single from their Christmas album, Bells Of Home, with Dawn Kenney.

The song, written by David Morris and Dawn Kenney, is based on a 1944 Christmas Day battle in Belgium, during the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. It imagines a lonely soldier thinking of how lovely Christmas must be be back in the States, as he longs for those bells of home.

Chuck Backus of the Midwest Documentary Center created the video from archival war and other images from the ’40s. In addition to his documentary work, Chuck is also a bass player in bluegrass and other genres.

Here’s his Bells Of Home video…

Among those pictured in the still images is a well known bluegrass DJ. The first person to correctly guess his or her identity will win a copy of the CD signed by the band. Enter your guess in the comments section below.

Bells Of Home is available now from Dawn’s web site as a CD or download, where you can also hear audio samples from all 10 tracks.
