Kentucky Blue from Billy Droze

Billy DrozeRural Rhythm Records has released a second single from their upcoming project with Billy Droze.

Still a young man at 29, Droze has already written hit songs for The Grascals (I Know Better and Her Memory Again) plus popular album cuts for Flatt Lonesome, Junior Sisk, Marty Raybon, and Randy Kohrs, and for country artists Shenandoah, Jamie O’Neal, and Darryl Worley.

Now it’s Billy’s turn out front. This latest single is called Kentucky Blue, and the label has produced this video to help introduce him and his music to the bluegrass community. Have a listen as Ronnie Bowman explains why he decided to co-produce this track with Droze, followed by a few words with the artist and a live performance of the song.

The video also serves to introduce Billy’s touring group, which he calls Kentucky Blue as well. David Freeman is on mandolin, Mathew Davis on banjo, and Mitchell Brown on bass.

They are booking shows now and can be contacted through his web site.

Keep an eye on this kid. He’s a comer.
