It Could Have Been The Mandolin video from Donna Ulisse

Event Details

Donna Ulisse

Donna Ulisse has come up with a clever way to promote her new single, It Could Have Been The Mandolin. It will be included on her next album, Hard Cry Moon.

She’s created a spoof news video, reporting on the mysterious “death” of her banjo player, Gary Davis.

A bevy of bluegrass artists have cameo appearances, and it seems that everyone she reached for an interview pointed a finger at the offending, eight-stringed instrument.

You’ll catch a taste of the single in the background, and you can hear the whole thing at Airplay Direct, where bluegrass radio programmers can download the track.

The song was written by Ulisse and Jerry Salley, and produced by Bryan Sutton who also plays guitar. Stuart Duncan is on fiddle, Dennis Crouch on bass, Casey Campbell on mandolin, and Scott Vestal on banjo.
