I thought every week was banjo week

As the staff of WAMU’s Bluegrass Country prepares to spend next week in Nashville for IBMA, they have dedicated this week to everyone’s favorite bluegrass instrument – the five string banjo!

The celebration began this past Saturday (9/18) and will continue through Friday (9/24). All of the regularly-scheduled, hosted programming will have a banjo-centric focus, and this week’s special programs will offer interviews, concerts and instructional tips aimed at banjo players and lovers.
