Huber introduces Truetone banjos

Grace Van’t Hof made mention earlier this week of the new banjos being introduced by Huber Banjos at IBMA this week. Huber calls them the Truetone series, and they are models which feature his newly-developed components, the HR-30 tone ring and engineered rim.

Both of these were designed after taking detailed scientific measurements of pre war flathead banjos, and then using that data as the benchmark in creating the new rim and ring.

Huber has more details about all this on his web site, and gives a nice thumbnail overview in this new video they created.

Nothing yet on the Huber site about the new Truetone banjos, but that should appear next week after they return from IBMA. They took 5 new Truetones with them to the Convention Center, and from all reports, the feedback has been very positive.
