Hillbenders Holiday Camp video

Event Details

When it was announced in January that The Hillbenders would be releasing a bluegrass version of The Who’s classic rock opera, Tommy, one of the first songs that came to mind was the fiendishly creepy Tommy’s Holiday Camp. How would that work in a bluegrass style?

Well, wonder no more. The ‘Benders have released a music video of the song, which is every bit as uncomfortable as the original, thanks to Jim Rea’s vocal and facial stylings. It is paired with Eyesight To The Blind, also given the acoustic treatment, with bluegrass instruments.

The video debuted on Billboard this past Friday.

Look for Tommy: A Bluegrass Opry on June 2.
