Heaven and Nature String from Bethany & Joe

Event Details

Bethany and Joe Xiques are a pair of young siblings from south Florida with a passion for bluegrass music. They’ve been studying music since they were young children, but the past two years has found their interests revolving around banjos and fiddles.

Bethany 18, and Joe 16, have put together a short-form album of Christmas favorites played on acoustic instruments that would be welcome in any home during the holiday season. Their playing is delightful and the arrangements are mostly in keeping with the traditional ways you would know these carols and hymns – but with a youthful energy that keeps you on your toes.

The album is entitled Heaven and Nature String, and they are offering it on a pay-what-you-like basis on Noisetrade and bandcamp. A $6 tip is suggested, but the 8-track project is available to download at no charge.

Joe plays guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, and dobro with Bethany on fiddle, viola, and piano.

You can sample their music below.

If you would appreciate some sprightly, grass-tinged Christmas music in the house this season, check out Heaven and Nature String and support this pair of young artists dedicating themselves to the music we love.
