Graham Sharp and Ziggy Marley

Event Details

Graham Sharp shared a fun story about his close encounter last night with reggae superstar Ziggy Marley.

He was performing with Steve Martin and Steep Canyon Rangers at the Ottawa Jazz Festival, which runs for ten days with a wide variety of musical acts.

Graham said that he took the occasion of sharing the bill to get his picture taken by Marley’s bus, and that the Jamaican icon seemed to enjoy Steve and the Rangers’ set.

“We played the Ottawa Jazz Fest last night, going on after Ziggy and his band. Their bus was parked backstage, all painted up, and I couldn’t resist getting a shot with it.

After Steve’s solo banjo piece they let out a big blast on the air horn and pulled out. It was a good night to be in Ottawa.”

I should say so.
