Do Re Mi from In Tune

In TuneIn Tune is a new, young bluegrass band consisting of three teen siblings from Kalona, IA and a mandolinist from Miami, FL. They all met while participating at the National Bible Bee, and their shared loved of bluegrass music sparked a fast friendship, and now a new single.

The three brothers are Josh Bontrager (19) on reso-guitar, Denver Bontrager (16) on fiddle, and and Taylor Bontrager (14) on bass. They are joined by Joe Xiques (16) on mandolin, banjo, and guitar.

Together they have recorded an instrumental bluegrass version of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, Do Re Mi, immortalized in the Broadway show, Sound Of Music, and firmly imprinted on our memories by Julie Andrews in the 1965 film version.

It makes a fine bit of grass, arranged as a Dobro instrumental. Have a listen…

The single is available for download sale now in iTunes and Amazon, and is offered to radio programmers at Airplay Direct.

Check these youngsters out – they can play!
