Fast-rising bluegrass artist Carson Peters has signed a publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing Nashville.

The 22-year-old bandleader, fiddler, singer, and songwriter has already played the Opry multiple times, and has a number of albums to his credit. Peters and his touring band, Iron Mountain, stay busy on the road, but aside from the bluegrass, Carson has dedicated a lot of time to writing for the country market since moving to Nashville three years ago. He has cuts already recorded by Braxton Keith, Cole Goodwin, and Kenny Whitmire.

Carson says that he is mighty pleased to take this step, and work with the largest music publishing company in the world.

“I want to thank God for this wonderful opportunity in my career, my wife, and my entire family for supporting and encouraging me through the ups and downs of the music industry, as well as Emily Carignan, Aubrey Landon, and the whole team at Sony for believing in me and my songs. Long live country music!”

Aubrey Landon, Senior Director and Creative A&R for Sony Nashville, says that they expect a lot from their young writer.

“Getting the chance to work with someone as promising as Carson doesn’t come around often. He’s so authentic, and brings a fresh young perspective to the more classic country sound in his music. We are beyond thrilled to be in his corner!”

Congratulations to Carson Peters for this fortuitous connection.
