Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road have released a fourth music video from their latest album, Country Grass. The theme of the project is pairing Lorraine and her crack bluegrass boys with a bevy of country singers for a mashup that’s, well… Country Grass.
Here we find the band with country crooner John Conlee, revisiting his 1983 hit Common Man as a duet with Brad Hudson of Carolina Road.
Conlee says that going grass, at least for one song, was something he relished.
“It was nice to be able to do a bluegrass version of one of my songs, and I really enjoyed working with Lorraine on the project. I understand it has gotten a lot of positive feedback since it has been out, and that is really encouraging to me.”
See what you think about it as a bluegrass song…
Carolina Road is Lorraine Jordan on mandolin, Ben Greene on banjo, Josh Goforth on banjo, Tommy Long on guitar, Jason Moore on bass, and Brad Hudson on reso-guitar. Joining the band for Country Grass, in addition to Conlee, were The Kentucky Headhunters, Eddy Raven, Crystal Gayle, Lee Greenwood and several others.
