When Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out taped a show for Bluegrass Underground earlier this year, a couple of audience videos popped up, including this clip of Brown County Red, a radio single that just debuted at #1 on our Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay Chart.
It’s an extended clip, which captures several minutes of Russell’s clever stage banter, much of which you won’t see when the final show airs.
You’ll also notice Terry Smith of The Grascals playing bass, which was a last-minute fill-in when Blake Johnson was hospitalized briefly back in March. Blake is doing well now, and is back on the road with the band.
Look for Brown County Red on the next IIIrd Tyme Out CD, expected sometime this summer.
