Backside of Losing from Adkins & Loudermilk

Event Details

Adkins & Loudermilk

With about six weeks to go before the highly-anticipated release of the debut album from Dave Adkins and Edgar Loudermilk, Mountain Fever Records has dropped a single to whet everyone’s appetite. The two veteran grassers started working together in 2013, but their individual recording schedules were such that there was no time for a new duo project until now, and it’s due to hit March 17.

Adkins made his mark as both a solo artists, and a member of a band called Republik Steele. His huge voice and clever lyrics were an instant hit. Loudermilk, by contrast, came to attention as the tenor singer for IIIrd Tyme Out with a smooth sound and delivery. When Dave and Edgar started writing together a few years back, it was only a matter of time before they would be partners on stage as well.

Their single is a song of Dave’s, Backside Of Losing, which shares a tale of bad luck, misery and woe – just the way we love it in bluegrass.

Backside Of Losing is available for download sale now in iTunes, and radio programmers can get a copy from Airplay Direct. Pre-orders for the album are enabled on the Adkins & Loudermilk web site.
