Moonstruck Management has announced that the bluegrass band, NewTown, is the latest to sign with their agency.
Though the group has been together for several years, they made a big leap in 2013 with the release of Time Machine, their first album with Pisgah Ridge Records and Crossroads Music. The record was popular with both fans and radio, and caught the attention of Josh Trivett at Moonstruck.
NewTown, which is doubly fronted by the husband/wife team of Jr. Williams and Kati Penn-Williams, is delighted to join the Moonstruck team.

The agency has similarly become prominent quickly over the past few years. Moonstruck got its start when Trivett, a former golf pro and sports marketing guru, teamed up with Peter Keiser, who had launched the music division for Cracker Barrel. They had a vision to bring the sort of professionalism and attention to detail found outside our industry into the bluegrass world. And by combining booking representation with brand management, they have been able to provide a full range of services to their artists, which also include Adkins & Loudermilk, The Twang Bangers, and the Hogslop String Band.
In addition to Kati on fiddle and Jr. on banjo, NewTown features Clint Hurd on mandolin, and Tony Mowell on guitar. They expect to announce a new bassist in the coming weeks. Kati and Jr. split the lead vocals, with help from Clint.
