Grasstowne has put together a tongue-in-cheek video to promote their new Rural Rhythm CD, Kickin’ Up Dust.
It finds the guys in “fat cat” mode, waxing eloquent about the joys of rail travel from a converted passenger car at the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach, FL. Dressed in their finest threads, they also offer self-deprecating assessments of the music and performances on the record. Priceless.
Alan Bibey tells us that the whole thing was completely off the cuff. They had gone into the rail car, which is set up as a museum, prior to a performance on the property this past weekend.
“You’re not really supposed to hang out in there, or sit down on the seats, but I just opened up the Flip sort of messing around, and that is what happened. These guys are a riot everywhere we go.”
Silliness aside, Kickin’ Up Dust is a terrific album, easily their strongest to date. Check it out in iTunes, or on the Grasstowne site.
