Handsome Molly video from Cup O’Joe

Event Details

Cup O'Joe

Here’s a new Irish band to keep an eye on, Cup O’Joe. It’s a trio of siblings from Northern Ireland, the Agnews, who perform together playing both bluegrass and gypsy jazz.

Benjamin is the eldest at 20, on bass, with Reuben (18) on guitar and mandolin, and the youngest, Tabitha, at 15 on banjo and guitar. All three share in the vocals.

Here’s a new video of Cup O’Joe, shot by John Breese, doing Handsome Molly. It’s an old song thought to be of Irish origins, and they perform it in a crisp contemporary bluegrass style. From old Ireland to the states, and back home again.

The band will be traveling to the US later this month for the World of Bluegrass convention in Raleigh, NC. If you’ll be in attendance, keep an eye out for them picking around the convention center.
