All Year Long from Megan and Mary

Event Details

all_year_longMegan Lynch Chowning and Mary Sue Englund have collaborated on a new album of Christmas music. All Year Long features 6 tracks, mixed between their original songs and holiday favorites.

Bluegrass fans know Megan from her work with the FiddleStar music camps in Nashville, plus many years of touring with various groups after her turn winning fiddle contests across the country. May Sue is an  singer/songwriter who first hooked up with Megan when they were both part of Pam Tillis’ band.

Together they have created a lovely collection of acoustic music. Most falls into the folk/Americana category, but they do turn in a solid version of the inevitable bluegrass holiday classic, Christmas Times A’ Comin’, with Megan expanding on songwriter Tex Logan’s iconic fiddle kick.

The pair have a string of California dates this week in support of the album.

  • December 2 – Le Bateau Ivre – Berkeley, CA
  • December 4 – Folsom Opry House – Folsom, CA
  • December 5 – Silicon Valley House Concert – Mountain View, CA
  • December 6 – Greens on Main – Modesto, CA

CDs can be ordered from Megan’s FiddleStar site, and downloads are offered at CDBaby. For holiday gifts, they can be ordered in a special All Year Long Christmas card and delivered directly to folks on your list, or in bulk for personal delivery.

Radio programmers can download the tracks now from Airplay Direct.
