I Can’t Go On This Way from Po’ Ramblin’ Boys

Event Details

Back To The Mountains, the debut CD from The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys on Randm Records, won’t officially be released until February 4, but the guys have offered this special sneak peek of the opening track as a Christmas week gift to Bluegrass Today readers.

The song is I Can’t Go On This Way, by Noah Crase which he recorded with The Valley Ramblers in 1967, performed here in the Boys’ aggressively retro style.

Po’ Ramblin’ Boys exist specifically to hold on to this sort of sound, once prominent in bluegrass but now given over to a smoother, country-inflected feel. Randm has a special fondness for this sort of music as well, as you can see on Leaving This Town, their stellar album with Tommy Brown & The County Line Grass.

There will be a CD release party during the 2016 SPBGMA convention in Nashville, but the band expects to have physical copies for sale at shows by January 14.

You can follow their tour schedule online.

Digital sales will commence on February 4.
