Bluegrass Express, from northeastern Illinois, has released a debut single ahead of their next all-Gospel album.
This family group features three generations of singing Underwoods who have been performing together since 1979. Patriarch Gary Underwood started the group with his son, Greg, and it now also includes Greg’s son, Jacob, on banjo. Gary plays guitar and Greg bass, with all three joining in the vocals. Nate Burie completes the band on mandolin.
The new single is called Answer To My Prayer, and was written by Greg. It is available now to radio programmers from Airplay Direct, and can be heard below.
The complete album is expected later this summer, which also includes studio contributions from Tim Crouch, John R. Bowman, and Justin Moses.
