Train That Carried My Girl From Town video from The Earls

Event Details

Rounder has released a second music video from Rattle & Roar, their latest album from The Earls Of Leicester. Like their self-titled debut in 2014, it’s a tribute to the artistry of Flatt & Scruggs, with 17 lovingly rendered reproductions from the catalog of Lester and Earl.

Here we get a new but not improved version of The Train That Carried My Girl From Town, a song long associated with blues singer Frank Hutchison, also famously recorded by Doc Watson. The video is shot in the old time way, using a desaturated, sepia look to evince the era of the original.

Rattle & Roar is available now wherever bluegrass music is sold. The band is actively touring this summer and fall in support.
