5th annual Bluegrass Jamboree in central Europe

Bluegrass Jamboree!Artists and dates have been and announced for the 5th Bluegrass Jamboree!, which brings bluegrass and Americana music to fine concert halls in Germany, Switzerland, and for the first time this year, Czech Republic.

Promoter Rainer Zellner has 18 shows booked starting November 27 and running through December 15. The musical each evening will include bluegrass and old time from The Foggy Hogtown Boys (Canada), western swing/bluegrass from The Carper Family (US), and old time/folk from Red Tail Ring  (US).

The organizers have created this promotional video to entice German audiences to snap up tickets while they can.

  • November 27 –  Offenburg
  • November 28 – Reutlingen
  • November 29 – Dreieich
  • November 30 – Ravensburg
  • December 1 – München
  • December 2 – Augsburg
  • December 3 – Waldkraiburg
  • December 4 – Laupheim
  • December 5 – Dortmund
  • December 6 – Stuhr
  • December 7 – Hildesheim
  • December 8 – Dresden
  • December 9 – Praha (CZ)
  • December 10 – Kassel
  • December 11 – Bonn
  • December 12 – Berlin
  • December 13 – Lutherstadt Eisleben
  • December 14 – Helmbrechts
  • December 15 – Roth

Rainer tells us that he is also in early preparations now for visits to Germany next year from Toy Hearts, Foghorn String Band, and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.
