OMG – he’s done it again!

More evidence has come forward in re Doyle Lawson touring with a percussionist. Here is a photo from last night at Alexander Central High School in Taylorsville, NC. It clearly shows Carl White, former and occasional member of Quicksilver, sitting in on the skins.

Carl swears that he isn’t and won’t use sticks and, according to our sources there in central North Carolina, the crowd of nearly 900 folks absolutely ate it up. Oh my…

In addition to their ongoing tour of childrens’ hospitals, Doyle and his merry band will appear on pop songster Paul Simon’s next CD, So Beautiful Or So What, due this Spring on Legacy Records.

So what’s next for DL&QS – touring with a South African choir?

UPDATE 1/31: Carl White shared a comment on his revolutionary status…

“Its such an honor to be a part of Quicksilver again. This time is very unique in the fact that I am the first drummer Doyle has ever had on stage as a part of Quicksilver.

Doyle is a legend and never seems to amaze me with his vision for his music!”
