New face along Carolina Road

Lorraine Jordan has a new guitarist and lead singer in Carolina Road. Tommy Long has come on board, and Dustin Benson has moved from guitar to bass. They will also have their new manager Ray Edwards, joining the group on resonator guitar for selected dates this year.

Lorraine says that the rhythm section has a punch and drive that she really likes, and that she can’t wait to get the new lineup out in front of the folks in 2011.

Here’s a sneak peek of their new sound, with Long singing the Stanley classic, Sharecropper’s Son.
