You’ll want to be right here at Bluegrass Today this evening at 6:00 p.m. (EDT) to watch a live stream of the IBMA press conference to announce the nominees for the 2012 International Bluegrass Music Awards.
Nominees in 22 categories will be revealed, plus this year’s Hall of Fame inductees and Distinguished Achievement award recipients.
The press conference is expected to run for approximately 45 minutes, and will include a pair of songs from Junior Sisk and Rambler’s Choice, performed live on stage.
It’s all going down at The Loveless Barn in Nashville, site of the weekly Music City Roots program, and the live video feed at Bluegrass Today comes courtesy of the good folks with MCR.
A special bluegrass edition of the show airs tonight following the press conference, starting at 8:00 p.m. Scheduled to appear are Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Lonesome River Band, The Isaacs, and Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice.
Be here at 6:00 for the announcement, and then head to Music City Roots at 8:00 to watch the show. The stream is live only, so don’t come a’lookin for the video after the fact.
We’ll have the nominees list and some photos later this evening, with an overview of the press conference (with interviews) in the morning.
