Del McCoury on Best Of Bluegrass

| April 26, 2012 | 0 Comments

This weekend’s edition of Best Of Bluegrass, airing on Radio Bluegrass International (RBI), has something special in store for all you Del-heads out there.

Host Bob Mitchell tells us that he has just over an hour dedicated to Del McCoury, starting with a 30 minute audio bio and recap of his career, with music from his many recordings. That will be followed by a live concert with The Del McCoury Band, recorded at the WFPK-FM studio in Louisville, KY on February 25.

RBI is a project of the International Bluegrass Music Museum, and their 24/7 bluegrass audio feed is available free of charge from the IBMM site. Donations are graciously accepted.

Best Of Bluegrass airs on Friday mornings from 9:00-11:00 (EDT), and again on Sundays from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Bob also shared a few photos taken when Del and the boys were in the studio in February.
