Brand new member of Brand New Strings?

Event Details

It looks like there will be shortly, as resonator guitarist Matt Leadbetter has informed the band that he would no longer be able to perform with them owing to work and family obligations.

Tim Tipton sent along this statement from Brand New Strings:

“We all want to wish Matt the best for the future. He has been a part of our success and we will miss him as a band mate. I fully understand his position as he leaves the band to focus on his day job and family. It can be hard to balance it all at times. I’m sure he will continue to play music in some capacity.

BNS will start the audition process immediately to fill the position on resophonic guitar. We have a busy year ahead of us and look forward to seeing all our fans as we tour nationally.”

Anyone interested in auditioning for the reso spot is encouraged to contact the band through their publicist, Penni McDaniel (678-377-3298) or via the band’s web site (www.brandnewstringsband.com).
