US release for Mustered Courage

powerlinesWe’ve posted a number of videos from Australia’s Mustered Courage, another group that uses the familiar bluegrass instrumentation to perform and record original music drawn from outside the old time or bluegrass tradition. It’s a very appealing sound that has won them a great many fans Down Under.

And now they are bringing their music to the United States. Their most recent album, Powerlines, is being released today in the US by Travianna Records, the new Americana imprint run by Mark Hodges and Mountain Fever Records.

To support that effort, the guys are here as well, and will be touring in the States the rest of the summer. They start out in New England this weekend, and plan to cover the length and breadth of the US this next 10 weeks, finishing up at the IBMA World of Bluegrass convention in Raleigh, NC where they are an invited showcase act.
