Sneak peek from new Hot Rize CD

Hot Rize has released a single track from their upcoming reunion album, due sometime this Fall. It’s Blue Is Falling, the opening track on the CD whose title has not yet been announced.

The single (and the album) features three original members of the band, Tim O’Brien on mandolin, Pete Wernick on banjo, and Nick Forster on bass, with Bryan Sutton filling the role initially handled by Charles Sawtelle on guitar. Charles had also been a founding member, but was lost to leukemia in 1999.

Three months of touring in support of the new album will begin in September, including performances at the IBMA’s Wide Open Bluegrass in Raleigh, NC and Hardly Strictly in San Francisco, CA.
