Mountain Faith on AGT tonight

Mountain Faith’s audition performance for America’s Got Talent is scheduled to air on tonight’s NBC broadcast of the program. This talented, young, western North Carolina band is the latest to use bluegrass music in attempting to win the top prize in this popular television competition. The ultimate victor each season leaves with $1 million.

The producers are notoriously secretive about show content, so the band couldn’t share what they’ll be playing tonight, but we know that they spent time before their audition learning pop songs with an acoustic/bluegrass edge.

Maybe it will be one like this, their grassified version of Train’s 2012 hit song, 50 Ways To Say Goodbye, which they created for the sake of the AGT talent scouts.

Whatever song they may perform tonight, we need the whole bluegrass world standing behind them. Let’s hope they make it through to the point when we can all vote for Mountain Faith!

Tune in tonight (6/30) at 8:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. central.
