Lou Reid & Carolina are heading for Music City, where they have a big day planned on Friday (4/13).
Starting at the especially unkind hour of 8:00 a.m. (CDT), they will be performing material from their latest CD, Calling Me Back Home, at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. That show will be broadcast live on WSM, and you can catch it at 650 AM as far as their broadcast carries – which is across much of the central US – or online via the station’s live stream.
The new album isn’t officially available until April 17, but the band is hosting an official CD release party Friday evening at Nashville’s Station Inn, where copies will be available for sale. Lou invites everyone in town to come join them at the Station and check out their new music.
The band is also psyched to make a stop on Saturday in Marion, VA where they will be filming a set for Song Of The Mountains, which should air next year on the show’s many PBS affiliates.
A debut single, Carolina Moonshine Man, was released earlier this year, and has had some success on our Bluegrass Today Weekly Airplay chart.
