Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers are All Dressed Up

dressedRebel Records has released a single today from their upcoming Gospel project with Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers.

All Dressed Up is a new song from Jerry Salley that turns the old adage, ‘all dressed up and nowhere to go,’ on its ear. It’s the story of a funeral of an farmer whose friends file by to pay their last respects, and find him dressed and ready with someplace important to go.

Jerry reports that he had hoped from its inception that this song would be recorded by Joe and the Ramblers, and he is completely delighted with the result.

Jerry Salley“The moment we finished All Dressed Up I knew EXACTLY who I wanted to record it. As a songwriter (and fan) I have been hoping to have a song recorded by Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers for a long time and with their history of recording meaningful songs, I thought All Dressed Up was a perfect song to send Joe. Thankfully, he loved it and I couldn’t be more excited.

Joe and the Ramblers made the song their own, like it was written for them, and their recording is absolutely wonderful. They are at the top of their game and there’s nothing more gratifying to a songwriter than to have a song recorded with such great vision and care by one of their very favorite groups in the business. I am very grateful to them!”

And Joe says that he was happy to have it.

“When Jerry Salley called me and said, ‘I have a song I just finished for the Radio Ramblers,’ I knew we would have an opportunity for a hit. Jerry loves our message songs that tell a story from the heart and he has written one of the best!”

All Dressed Up is available not to radio programmers at Airplay Direct, and to consumers at iTunes and Amazon. Rebel is offering an instant download of the track at no extra charge with pre-orders for Sacred Memories, the album on which it is contained, due for release on April 15.

Joe describes what they have in store on Sacred Memories in this introductory video.
