The Steeldrivers’ upcoming Rounder album, Hammer Down, is being offered as a live stream through the mega pop culture site, PopMatters.
There you can not only hear the entire project in its entirely, you can read an interview with the band about Hammer Down, which drops tomorrow (2/5). This is the first release since original members Chris Stapleton and Mike Henderson’s departure, though current guitarist/vocalist Gary Nichols has been a Steeldriver for almost two years.
Also featured on the album are original members Richard Bailey on banjo, Tammy Rogers on fiddle and Mike Fleming on bass, along with new mandolinist Brent Truitt.
