This past weekend Terry and Jan Lease hosted the 19th edition of the Great Northern Indoor Bluegrass Music Festival.
Friday brought Newtown, Larry Sparks, Special C, Kody Norris, and a relatively new band from Minnesota, Copper Creek. Saturday featured Donna Ulisse, The Boxcars, Little Roy Lewis and Lizzy Long, Jerry Butler, and the Harman’s. Donna did a songwriter’s workshop for a packed room. Little Roy, Lizzy, and Derek Vaden all sat down and jammed with Ressler guitars. Sunday brought us The Harman’s and The Burie Family for some uplifting bluegrass Gospel music.
The Festival is moving back to Naperville for next year’s 20th anniversary.
