Here’s another video of Flashback shot during their set at the Musicians Against Childhood Cancer festival in Ohio earlier this summer, and it shows another side of their musical personality.
In addition to new material written in the band, they also look back to the days when they worked together as J.D. Crowe & the New South in the 1990s. This song is one they remember from that time, the old favorite Dark Hollow.
Phil Leadbetter is on reso-guitar, Richard Bennett on guitar, Don Rigsby on mandolin, Curt Chapman on bass, with Stuart Wyrick filling the Crowe role on banjo. Eagle-eyed five stringers will note how closely Stuart mirrors him on this song.
