Chris Martin on the D-45

Event Details

Chris Martin (CF Martin IV) just posted a video about the return of the model D-45 to the Martin catalog, in the form of the D-45 Authentic 1942.

It’s quite a story, which includes an admission that when Martin decided to make an authentic replica of a classic D-45, they realized that they didn’t have one in their museum collection, and had to purchase one in the vintage market.

Gary Lambert of Martin’s R&D department also speaks about the efforts the company took to reproduce this special guitar. Great stuff.
