Born To Roll video from James Reams

Rhyme-&-SeasonBi-coastal grasser James Reams has dropped another video from his current CD, Rhyme & Season.

James maintains a band on the east coast and one on the west, both billed as The Barnstormers. For this number, Born To Roll, it’s his New Jersey bandmates with Kenny Kosek on fiddle. Mark Farrell plays mandolin, Doug Nicolaisen banjo, and Nick Sullivan bass, with Reams on guitar.

Born To Roll was written by Lawrence Shoberg, a classic truck driving song which James says fits the album’s theme of the itinerant, vagabond life.

“I felt that this song belonged on Rhyme & Season because it celebrates the nomadic life of a trucker, one of the few career paths that involves an aspect of homelessness.”

The video mixes clips of The Barnstormers in the studio with scenes from the road life of a trucker.

Rhyme & Season is available for download and on CD from CD Baby.
