Blacktop video from Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson has released the music video for Blacktop from his new bluegrass project, The Bluegrass Album. It was filmed at The Station Inn back in August when the album was officially debuted, with the same all-star band that cut the record with him.

If you keep a keen eye open while watching, you’ll recognize a number of familiar faces, most prominently Jess Bostic, former IBMA staff member, who may be starting a new career as a video model.

How can anyone take Alan Jackson seriously as a Bluegrass artist. He was a great country star but now trying to revive a career with bluegrass folks.
I don’t think so. Some have tried it, Bill Anderson, Merle Haggard, Joe Diffie et al and they don’t get air play in either genre. He couldn’t even play country guitar and you can’t just stand there and hold a guitar and play Bluegrass no matter who you got backing you up.
