After what was described as a very rough day on Sunday, Doc Watson is said to have rallied a bit with some improvement in his vital signs last night.
He remains in the ICU, listed in critical condition at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
Watson, 89 years old, has been hospitalized since May 21, initially for treatment and observation after a fall. He was airlifted last Wednesday (5/23) to Baptist Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery, and has been critical since that time.
