Standing By Your Side from Mustered Courage

Event Details

Mustered CourageAussie grassers Mustered Courage are using the occasion of their new CD, Powerlines, to release a music video for the opening track, Standing By Your Side. They employ a clever concept, with the band members posing as colorful street characters who accost passersby in a busy downtown setting.

The band is Nick Keeling on banjo, Julian Abrahams on guitar, Josh Bridges on bass, and Paddy Montgomery on mandolin. All four share in the vocal duties. Their sound combines traditional bluegrass instruments and techniques with songs and vocal presentation heavily influenced by modern pop and indie rock.

Mustered Courage is touring now throughout Australia in support of Powerlines. Their stage show is a major part of their appeal, with a highly visual and aggressive vibe to the performances.

We’ll have more to say about the new album, released May 10, when we get a copy for a closer listen.
