Lindsay Lou talks Flatbellys

Event Details

One of the more interesting young bands plying their trade along the edges of bluegrass, Americana and contemporary pop music is Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys. The group is based in Michigan, but tours extensively across the US.

Their curious name came from the bumping together of an attractive and talented singer/songwriter who went by Lindsay Lou, and a bluegrass band called The Flatbellys. They all were introduced by the band’s mandolinist, Josh Rilko, who met, fell for, and married said Lindsay Lou. And they all made beautiful music happily ever after.

We spoke with Lindsay last month at IBMA about their new music and near term plans.
